OKLAHOMA CITY – Congressman Frank Lucas (R-OK3) today announced he has endorsed Maressa Treat for Oklahoma County Clerk.
“Maressa has all of the attributes necessary to successfully run the county clerk’s office,” Lucas said. “Her work product speaks for itself. Maressa has done a great job in her roles in the private sector, working in government both on the state and federal levels and through her commitment to helping victims of domestic violence during her volunteer work at the YWCA. She is the only candidate who will be able to succeed in this role starting day one. For these reasons and more is why I am endorsing Maressa for Oklahoma County Clerk.”
Congressman Lucas represents Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District, which includes all or portions of 32 counties in northern and western Oklahoma. He is the latest member of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation to endorse Treat for Oklahoma County Clerk. He joins Senator James Lankford, Senator Markwayne Mullin and a host of other state and local leaders to support her bid for the office.
“Congressman Lucas is a champion of rural America, and he personifies the values of the Oklahoma spirit,” Treat said. “His support personalizes the blue collar, roll up your sleeves work ethic I plan to take into this position. I appreciate his endorsement, and the backing of all of those who have entrusted me to run for this office.”
A lifelong conservative and community advocate, Treat most recently served as finance director for Sen. Lankford during his successful reelection campaign. She also previously served as his director of state outreach. Treat has also worked as a field representative for the College Republican National Committee and has volunteered for numerous conservative candidates and causes. Treat has also worked at the State Chamber of Oklahoma and the office of the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy.
She currently serves in a volunteer capacity as a board member for the YWCA, where she gives a voice to victims of domestic violence.
She and her husband, Greg, live in northwest Oklahoma County and have three children, Mason, Cooper and Olivia.
